Hey kids, for the “best day ever,” plan on coming to the great Wing Ding Parade on Saturday, June 16 at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo.?? Registration begins at 9:00am with FREE admission to the zoo until 11:00am.?? Children of all ages are invited to participate in the biggest costume parade around.?? You get to decorate and bring your own floats made from strollers, wagons, boxes and anything else you can pull or push.?? We have a really fun contest for the best floats in eight different categories with winners receiving cash prizes, trophies, and ribbons.?? The floats will be judged on The Best in Show, Most Clever, and Best Costume.?? What a great way to show off your creativity while spending time with the kids.

After the parade, which starts promptly at 11:00am, there will be wonderful FREE entertainment from professional clowns, magicians and musicians, with exciting exhibitions from local karate, gymnastics and dancing schools as well.?? We will also have our DJ playing kids’ favorite music for dancing and sing-alongs.?? All day long you will enjoy FREE face painting, tattoos, art & crafts plus awesome games and inflatables.?? If that’s not enough, you get to explore the magnificent zoo and visit with over 300 exotic animals.?? While there, don’t forget to take a ride on the famous and beautifully restored Beardsley Carousel.
