Ding Parade for Kids

It's a hugh festival for kids!
Participants decorate their own floats, wagons,
carriages or come in costume to take part in a parade
just for the younger crowd. Following the parade will
be entertainment by clowns, jugglers, acrobats and
magicians. There will also be face painting, arts and
crafts and games galore- all at no charge! Connecticut's

Barnum Sails the Sound

Jefferson Ferry. Gates
open at 6:30 p.m. and the ship sails
promptly at 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The
event is held rain or shine.
Come have a three-hour blast of
fun on the Sound this summer!
This popular, always sold-out cruise on the
P.T. Barnum Ferry boasts a buffet dinner
from Smeraglino's Catering and three levels
of entertainment for everyone. Live music, a
karaoke DJ, an accordion player and dancing
will fill the big boat from bow to stern.
Featured entertainers include: JMG, Quintera
and the Coastal Chordsmen.
Tickets cost $50 per person, which includes
the buffet on the boat, plus soda, beer,
wine and frozen drinks, and loads of
entertainment. Secured parking is available
at People's Bank.

CHAMPIONS ON PARADE,
JFK Stadium, Central High School,
Bridgeport.
This ever-popular Drum and Bugle Corps
competition has returned to its original exciting format
with winners announced at the end of this entertaining
evening. Senior Drum Corps performers include
seven favorites: the Connecticut Hurricanes, Redding
Buccaneers, Empire Statesmen, Corps Vets, Brigadiers,
Bushwackers, and Hawthorne Caballeros.
There is no rain date for Champions on
Parade, which will be held at John F. Kennedy Stadium,
Central High School, 1 Lincoln Boulevard, Bridgeport.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. with the show kicking off at
5:45 p.m. Advance tickets cost $17 or $20 at the
gate.
This event is sponsored by Mastercard

Supply, Kuchma Construction, Custom Air Systems and Past
and Present Ringmasters, and is part of the 20-event
mega celebration, The Barnum Festival.

consist of military units, drum corps, bag pipers,
floats, giant character balloons, clowns and more
excitement than you can imagine! This is the largest
parade in Connecticut stepping off at the corners of

Show –

22. This day of great family fun is hosted by Classic
Nights Car Club. Features over 300 antique and classic
cars, music, food vendors and free inflatable children’s
